Vanity Trove March - Temptress Seduction

This is the second box from Vanity Trove Malaysia and the hopes were certainly high from a lot of them out there too. And yes it included me too. I was waiting anxiously to know what's the content this time and how it would seduce me, yes right with the theme 'Temptress Seduction'. So what they has this time and did they make the mark? Judge it yourself :-)

1) Asian Potion - Blooming Ginger Body Lotion

"Said to be made from natural flowers, fruits and plant essences and helps to make your skin feel moisturised and firm. This is the perfect skin quencher that provides you with a deep inner calmness after a long day"

There was also a 10% discount voucher from Asian Potion.
I love lotions and always welcome beauty boxes which includes any sort of lotions. So this is also my favourite.

2) Timeless Truth - TT Orchid Extract Whitening Mask.

"It's said to be made from orchid, purple peril and chamomile extracts and will help you whiten, brighten and moisturise your skin. And they have also included a 20% discount voucher."

I guess this immediately won my heart, having to know that it's one the brand available at Burj Al-Arab.

3) Kanebo - Skin Fusing Powder Foundation

"Provides a natural coverage and ensures a shine-free appearance with its SPF 20 PA++ powder formula. Instead of staying as a thick layer of makeup, this foundation blends and melts into your skin when applied"

They have also included some sachets of Smoothing Makeup Base and also a voucher for a 45 minutes Vivid Color Purification Makeup lesson or a makeover with Kanebo. With this size of sample, Im not sure how relevant it is and I'm not so much of a foundation fan.

4) Etre Belle - Sensiplus Hydrasilk Gel Tonic & Sensiplus Hydrasilk Day & Night Cream

Overall, I'm glad that Vanity Trove is making efforts to bring in more brands for us to try such as Asian Potions and Timeless Truth. I'm happy with this new brands that i'm aware now.

Wonderbox February Edition - Hot Red!

oOo No, i have beauty boxes filling up the space and I've not done any reviews yet.  So which was is gonna hit the blog first? Erm, I think it should be the one that first arrived right. And it's also one of my favourite? Why? Because they always arrive on time for me (well used too unlike this round) and the way the ribbon is tied and lastly the small details that they like to include (eg. the flowers that they have included this time around). Somehow this round, I believe that I was in the second group of shipping as I got my box way later than others. And by the time I got it, it was not a surprise anymore as a lot of them starting posting up the photos out there. I guess this company sends their boxes in stages.

Anyway, that aside, beauty boxes never fails to make me happy when I get to open them. So what do they have stored this time around? See below ladies.. Yes, this box was filled till the very top :-)

Clinelle Moisture Booster (20 ml)
Said to provide a natural recovery properties and maintains our skin hydration at an optimal level. It's also oil-free and helps to promote instant moisture penetration to sooth the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

H2O Face Oasis Dual Action Exfoliating Cleanser (30 ml)
Said to deeply cleanse and revitalise the skin with it's oil free formula. This cleanser is made from natural fruit enzymes, jojoba beads and moisturising marine botanicals.

H2O Marine Toner (30 ml)
It's a alcohol free toner which helps to sweep away impurities while improving the moisture absorption. This toner containers Allantoin, Provitamin B and also the hydrating Marine Blend.

Murad's T-Zone Pore Refining Gel (3.7 ml)
This gel helps to clear pores while balancing oil and dry zones and it's said to also reduce the size of the pore for a flawless skin complexion.

Murad's Energising Pomegranate Moisturiser (30 ml)
It's a lightweight and oil free moisturiser which infuses skin with hydration and also assists in protecting our skin against the UVA/UVB rays.

Jacqueline Burchell Nail Lacquer (5 ml)
Said to be a wonderful nail lacquer with over 250 colours to choose from. I got the colour 'Speed of Light'. You can refer to their website and you'll see that all their colours have wonderful names.

That concludes the items in this box. Somehow most of the items in this box was mostly skincare and I feel that they should be a mix of both at times as you get slightly bored seeing the same range right. But having said that there are some items that I'm happy that I got in my box like the Energizing Pomegranate Moisturiser and Jacqueline Burchell Nail Lacquer.

Di Palomo Tuscan Rose Hand & Nail Cream

The one thing that I never, yes I repeat, I never leave home without is my hand creams I must say. You'll be wondering why hand creams? I can say that I have dry hands and applying hand creams allows my hand to feel soft and the moisture in the creams makes your hand just feel so nice. So do I have a specific hand cream that I use? The answer is No. My theory is simple. Why don't I just use various brands out there and see how it feels and plus lets try the different scents out there. Life is boring if you just stick to one right.

Recently, I was introduced with Di Palomo's Enriching Hand & Nail Cream which I found in the Vanity Trove box and I immediately started using them. Di Palomo is a brand from England, inspired by Italy. And they have more than hand creams, means they also produce perfumes and bath & shower products (yes, how I wish i get to try all their bath & shower products. Yes you're right, I go crazy of them).

The Hand & Nail Cream that I was trying came from the Tuscan Rose range and the main 3 products used in this cream is Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil and Aloe Vera Leaf Juice. I think we all know the benefits of these 3 natural ingredients which I don't think I need to elaborate much.

The cream itself is white is colour with thick texture and when applied it directly sinks into your skin. What I like the most of this cream is that it absorbs to my skin quickly without leaving any sticky feeling. And that's not the only highlight. The scent itself, yes the rose scent in this cream is not so empowering which is something group and it's mild and stays there for a while leaving your hand feel soft, smooth and wonderful of course.

Now I saw that there's even more range available here such as the white grape with Aloe. How I wish I can try their bath range soon :-)

Vanity Trove Malaysia - *Debut Box* It's All About Love

Vanity Trove is not something new in Malaysia as Malaysian subscribers have been getting their boxes shipped from Singapore all these while. Of course the down side of this was that we often get coupons that are only applicable at Singapore and the events are organised in Singapore and which means we Malaysian subscribers were not able to attend them. However, we got a good news recently when they actually launched Vanity Trove Malaysia. This means we get to attend functions that Vanity Trove organises in Malaysia and what's more amazing is that we can now use the coupon that's in the trove. Vanity Trove Malaysia's debut box was the February 2013 box themed 'It's all about Love'.

Something different about Vanity Trove Malaysia was that they actually used a different courier service other than GDex, which is Kangaroo Worldwide Express Courier. Vanity Trove Malaysia's box is exactly similar to the trove that was shipped from Singapore previously (yes the drawer type of box) and it's also shrink wrapped like before.

Their trove was filled right till the top, yes right till the top when i opened it..

And I was greeted by this lovely hand written card. As I've always said, even if it's a simply short message, I love it when it's hand written as it shows that they person has taken the extra effort. I'm sure you'll agree with me.

As it was a Valentines edition, there was some extra touch to it as they have included some Merci chocolates in a cute lil' box, which I've already reused them to put in my earrings :-). Well talk about recycling.

There was also a voucher included which is from Orik's where with purchase of Wild Ginseng Twister Essence, you'll get 1 unit of Wild Ginseng Stemcell BB Cream for free.

Overall, I'm happy with what I received in this trove as it has items that i've been wanting to try such as the POREfessional. And also contains items that I love which is the Colour Save Shampoo (yes, I have coloured hair) and also the Tuscan Rose's Hand & Body Lotion. I'm a frequent lotion user so this will surely come handy. 

What's even more amazing was that I actually bought another box for this month and have emailed them to ask if it's possible to ensure that both boxes doesn't carry the same item. They actually told me that they'll try their best. What was amazing was that they actually made sure that I got different items in both boxes. In the other box, I actually have the System Professional's Repair Shampoo and Repair Mask and the Tuscan Rose Hand & Nail Cream.

For the RM 60 that you pay for the trove (including courier service), it's a good deal and I hope that this continues and even more wonderful items are introduced to us.

The Lilac Box - Premium February Debut Box

After patiently waiting for 'The Lilac Box', it finally arrived at my doorstep on 6th February. The Lilac Box used GDex courier service and so far I'm happy with their service as I've never had any problems with them. Thou I was actually sick when I received this box, I just couldn't wait to open it. Well I guess everyone would feel so as this is the debut box. 

What's interesting with this box is that it's not covered with a bubble wrap or a shrink wrap but it was double boxed. 

So are you ready to have a look at the box itself? Yes, it's with the theme colour 'lilac'. Lilac is actually a tone of purple, so that answers the question on why i just love the design and concept of this particular box. Anything purple just makes me happy :-) Thou the box itself is a plain brown box but the ribbon and the note 'I got you thelilacbox' actually added an extra 'spice' to this whole experience. 

 I was actually greeted with this message which was at the back of the cover box. It is actually a good idea to reuse this box as everything is already there. You only need to add in or personalise the box with some stuff of your interest :) 

Another note that was in the envelope was actually a note to us the receivers on some introduction of this box, the aim of this box and also the details of their website address where we can get more information of the products that was in this debut box. One thing I realise is that compared to the other beauty boxes out there, The Lilac Box doesn't actually have a list which introduces the products in the box and you would need to go to their website to know more about the products instead. However, it's not really a big deal for me as you can always know about the product when you see them and most of us now just love searching online for more information.

It's time to now reveal the content of the box. As mentioned in my previous introduction post, The Lilac Box makes sure that only premium products, yes premium products gets in their box. And when I first opened it, I was really surprised with the content. I personally was really really happy with what they had and it was surely worth more than the price of the debut box. 

Yes, we have here the 'Kerastase Ciment Anti Usure' (75ml), a daily rinse out conditioner for weakened hair and we also have the 'Kerastase Bain Force Architecte' (80ml), a daily reconstructing shampoo. 

Next is Roberto Cavalli's Perfumed Body Lotion (30 ml). It's very vibrant and sensual and something that you can surely use for that very special date of yours.

And for those out there who loves nail polish, they have Max Factor's Nailfinity in 'Boji'. Boji is actually a very neutral colour. If you ask me and as I'm a person who loves simple and natural colours, this nail polish is now in my favourite list. I'll write a separate post on it soon.

From the skincare section, we have Decleor Paris' Essential Cleansing Milk (10 ml) and Essential Tonifying Lotion (10 ml). Something that i've not tried before but surely would love to give it a try.

  
Lastly, we have Burberry's Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base. There's 4 sachets and it's something that suits all skin tones. I'll probably give it to my mum to try as well as she would surely love them.

The team also included Decleor Paris' Signature Aromaplasty Facial voucher and Centro Hair Salon's RM 50 cash voucher. I'm already planning to use both of them as I frequently visit Centro and I've been wanting to try Decleor Paris.

Overall, I would say that I'm really impressed with this box and the team has done a great job in putting these wonderful premium items together. Only hope is that they'll ensure that this wonderful service continues and they'll continue bringing only the best to us.  I'm already waiting to subscribe to their boxes every month. Have a Luxurious Bath with Lush

A few months ago I wrote a post on my Lush hauls back from Singapore and can you remember that gift box that I bought along? Still remember them? Want to know what's inside the box? Well after almost a month, I finally decided to open the box (yea, the box was wrapped so beautifully that I didn't have the heart to tear them away).

This is the box..Isn't it nicely wrapped? And together with the blue ribbon, it's simply amazing :-).

The box also had the sticker above written ' This gift was lovingly hand packed by Iwona's Team'. I must say that I love this kind of personal touch that are put in to any products. It kind of brings the product much closer to you I must say..

The box was filled with tiny sponges that I believe helps to keep the products in perfect shapes, especially those soaps. And it surely did it's job well as none of my products were damaged.

So what did I have in my gift box? Here you go..

I purposely selected this box as it contained mainly bath items such as soaps, gels & scrubs as I just love trying them. It feels certainly great and relaxed when you come home after a crazy day at work, and you get to indulge yourself with this heavenly smelled and cute looking soaps or gels.

Now time for some close up shots.

This is 'Mr Punch Soap'. Its more to a fruity type of soap with blackcurrants, juniper etc to give it a more boozy and fruity feeling.

Next, we have the 'Northen Lights Soap'. This soap just gives me the neon light feeling because of it's colour i guess. And the smell of it is just refreshing due to it's content of lime, cypress and fresh pine.

Yup, the only shower gel that came in this box and it's called 'Ponche Shower Gel'. Made from plum and orange gel with davana, buchu and petitgrain oils.

Next, we have 'Whoosh Shower Jelly' made from grapefruit, rosemary and geranium essential oil. I've been wanting to try this for some time so having this here gives me the opportunity. Ooo yea, you got that right, another reason for me was because of it's colour BLUE..and this texture too..picture below please :-).

And finally the last thing in the box is 'Rub Rub Rub', a sea salt shower scrub with tropically scented blossoms. The close up below shows how wonderful it looks. For me the colour blue just makes me think of the sun and the sea..

January's Modbox - A bright year ahead

When this month arrived, I was just eagerly waiting for my surprise boxes. You know sometimes you just want to get excited over something :p. And the first box that arrived was from Modbox. It was slightly delayed this month but not too late, so it's alright. 

When I first opened it, I was wondering why yellow ribbon? Only then to realise that it symbolised brightness. A bright new year indeed. Then of course I went to the content. You want to have a look at what they have to surprise us this time? Here you go..

All coz i love handmade soaps and always keep trying different types and review them where I can. So watch out for this Aloe Vera soap review after i've tried them.
